This video goes out to all the HEADS! A classic video from the Mr. Grimm feat Nate Dogg (RIP). The song “INDO SMOKE” was produced by Warren G and was featured on the “POETIC JUSTICE” soundtrack released in 1993. This song was an instant classic. I remember my older cousin playing this song all the time. It was actually a dance called the “PENN STATE” that was created from this song back in the early 90′s in Los Angeles. Mr. Grimm’s solo career really never took off but he will always be remembered for this track.

Today’s Westside Wednesday video comes to you by Punk Rock group BLINK 182. Coming from Poway California, heres the video “DOWN” off the self titled album. Released in 2004 on Geffen Records. I must say this was an awesome video that captured Los Angeles lifestyle and culture. With Cameos from Mr. CARTOON, Boo Ya Tribe and Tracy Morgan, here’s today’s Westside Wednesday Video.
TweetThe wait is over! Tribute crew-necks are now available in the shop!

Got together with a good friend and even better artist Nikkolos Mohammed to shoot photos for our “Tribute” crew neck. He had an idea of doing the photo shoot in a more “portrait” type setting. Using solid backdrops to focus in on the style and product at hand. I thought it was the perfect idea. So many photo shoots kind of take you away from what you are supposed to be focused on with so many props and extras. We wanted this one to be a little more classic and and settle. Don’t worry, for those of you who didn’t have a chance to grab the first run of the “Tribute” sweater, they will be availible back on the site

You know how we do it on Westside Wednesdays. Nothing but the best from the best. Including the best of foods. Hit the Japanese market up on Sawtelle blvd for some premium choice meats. Mushrooms, Shushido Peppers, Chicken and Beef. Brought the grill out and it was time for lunch on Burnside. Which leads us to the Westside Wednesday video coming from the legendary Compton native DJ QUIK. Off his third album release “SAFE&SOUND” released in 1995 on Priority Records. My favorite DJ Quik album of all time. I was in eighth grade when this album released and I couldn’t get enough of it. Here’s the title track and video from the album.

With the best weather Los Angeles has seen all year, it’s just about that time to start bringing the toys out. Stopped over by Fairfax to talk about a new project we have coming up for DOM KENNEDY and his upcoming release WESTSIDE 2. Went over to California Chicken Cafe and grabbed a 2 piece lunch when I noticed 2 Chevrolet 64 Impala’s cruising down Melrose. They immediately grabbed my attention as I noticed they had the Legendary “FELIX” Chevrolet license plates. For those of you who don’t know “FELIX” Chevrolet is a Historical Monument in Los Angeles. The oldest Chevrolet Dealership in town. Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Turns out these two beautiful classics were being used for a new show on MTV. Nice! Talked to the owners of the cars and they were members from LOS ANGELES C.C. They were nice enough to give us close up of the beauties.
